I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, where I first fell in love with golf after getting my first set of clubs in fifth grade. Summers were spent taking our clubs on the bus with friends to Little Met until we could drive. It was those tiny Lakewood backyards and local courses where I sharpened my short game before playing for the Lakewood High golf team. After high school, I joined the Marine Corps and continued to find solace at the ranges and courses near base in North Carolina. When I was later stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, I saw for the first time how golf automation was transforming the game, and it left a lasting impression.
After leaving the Marines, I married my incredible wife, was fortunate to build a career in the family machining business, and was blessed with wonderful children. Throughout my life, I’ve been driven by an entrepreneurial spirit diving into real estate, manufacturing, and launching Chopper Spirits Whiskey here in Cleveland. But golf always remained my passion, my escape, and my way to unwind. The range, in particular, always felt like home—the fresh air, the nostalgia of a local course, and the simple joy of hitting balls was freedom. But I always wished I could stay a little longer, analyze my swing on my own time, and have a comfortable space to bring business associates or my family to relax and enjoy the experience.
That vision led to Elevate Range Club—blending the tradition and charm of local courses with modern technology and creature comforts. As we partner with local courses and ranges, I hope you’ll feel the same love and passion that inspired this journey. Thank you for being part of it.
